Wild Cities will save the world

Illustrated Talk and supper with Chris Fitch
6pm Thursday 13 November 2025

Are you ready for what the cities of the future will look like? Forget hot, polluted, soulless concrete; it’s time to green the grey. The key to the survival of people on earth is rewilding cities. This is where over half of the global population lives, using 78% of the world’s energy. In the UK, 85% of people now live in town. This is where the global decisions are made, where policy makers live, where environmental movements begin.

All over the world, cities are now leading the charge, showing a new way of living – with clean air and green spaces thronging with wildlife, and streets that are cooler, safer, calm and beautiful. From green roofs to rewilded parks and urban forests, nature-friendly gardening to sustainable drainage, Chris Fitch takes us on an adventure through the pioneering solutions that are transforming our cities.

Join Isabella Tree at Knepp Wilding Kitchen on 13 November as your host, and enjoy a glass of bubbly on arrival, Chris Fitch’s fascinating talk, followed by audience Q&A, book signing and a delicious three-course meal.

Our 12+ Policy

Knepp Wildland Safaris, our gardens and campsite are all about the quiet and patient observation of nature.

Some of the species we are likely to encounter are shy or can be frightened by loud noises or sudden movements. Our campsite with open-air fire-pits, wood-burning stoves and an on-site pond is unsuitable for small children.

For this reason, our safaris, garden visits, holiday cottages and campsite are suitable only for children of 12 and over.
