We kindly suggest a donation of £5 per visit to cover the cost of car park and foot path maintenance. Cash payment can be made in the honesty box at the car park.

We have 6 accessible parking spaces located next to the Wilding Shop.

Please note that parking is at your own risk.

Please note we do not have capacity for coach parking.

A lockable bicycle rack is provided.

Campervans and motorhomes are welcome in the car park but are not permitted to stay overnight (gates are locked between 7pm and 7am).

Tree Platforms and Bird Hide

There are five tree viewing-platforms offering panoramas of the surrounding countryside, and a bird-hide overlooking Knepp Lake.  These are shown on the walking map.

Please adhere to any temporary notices or closures, supervise children and assist those that may need help. Please use the steps to access the tree platforms and do not climb trees or railings.

Wilding Kitchen & Shop

We are thrilled to welcome you to the Wilding Kitchen and shop where we celebrate the restoration of nature through food.

Visit us in the heart of Knepp’s rewilding project and enjoy unbelievable, sustainably sourced food, featuring our own Wild Range meat and fresh produce from our organic market garden, a stone’s throw from the Kitchen.

Toilets and Bins

There are public toilets and bins at the Wilding Kitchen.

We don’t encourage picnicking as this leads to unwelcome interactions with our free roaming cattle, pigs and ponies.

Please leave the rewilding project as you find it and take all litter home with you.

Our 12+ Policy

Knepp Wildland Safaris and campsite are all about the quiet and patient observation of nature.

Some of the species we are likely to encounter are shy or can be frightened by loud noises or sudden movements. Our campsite with open-air fire-pits, wood-burning stoves and an on-site pond is unsuitable for small children.

For this reason, our safaris, holiday cottages and campsite are suitable only for children of 12 and over.
