This Privacy Notice covers the activities of the Knepp Castle Estate (which includes Sir Charles Burrell t/a Knepp Castle Estate, Knepp Farm Partnership, Knepp Castle Home Farm, Edward Burrell t/a Knepp Estate B, Knepp Wildland Safaris, Knepp Wild Range, Knepp Regenerative Farms, Knepp Energy Ltd, Brookhouse Knepp Ltd, Nancy Burrell, Swallows Knepp Ltd, Knepp 1983 Settlement and Knepp 1987 Settlement). In this Privacy Notice these organisations are referred to as we, us or Knepp Castle Estate. The Knepp Castle Estate respects your privacy and commits to protecting it through our compliance with the practices described in this notice.

- Information about your visit if you contact us to book a safari, glamping accommodation or pitch at our campsite.

You may give us information about you by filling in forms on our website or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you make an enquiry, subscribe to our newsletter or book an event.

If you book to stay with us, we will use your information to manage your booking and to deal with any special requests you may have. We may collect information about your health if you need us to have this to manage any special requests.Safaris & Workshops
If you book on one of our safaris or workshops, we will use your information to manage your booking. We may collect information about your health if you have any particular requirements that we need to know about.Weddings and venue hire
If you enquire about or hire one of our venues for a wedding or another event, we will use your information to respond to your enquiry and manage your booking. This will include details of your event, any special requests and contact details so that we can liaise with you to ensure your event runs smoothly.Knepp Wild Range
If you contact us about our meat range, we will use your information to manage your order and to deal with any special requests you may have.Renting a property
If you apply to rent a property from us, we use your information to assess your suitability for one of our properties. If you are an existing tenant, we use your information to manage your tenancy. What is the legal basis of our data processing?

Disclosure of your personal data
We share your personal data with the following third parties and in the following ways:- Business partners, suppliers, service providers, sub-contractors and other third parties we use to support our business (such as analytics and search engine providers that assist us with website improvement and optimisation, event organisers and billing partners). We contractually require these third parties to keep that personal data confidential and use it only for the contracted purposes.
- Credit reference agencies when required to assess your credit score before entering into a contract with you (only relevant for tenants).
- For any other purposes that we disclose when you provide the data.
- With your consent.
- If we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
- To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including responding to any government or regulatory request.
- To enforce a contract that we have with you.
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of our business, our employees, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of cybersecurity, fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
Overseas transfers of data
We are based in the United Kingdom. However, some of the service providers that we use may store your data in countries that have different privacy laws that may not be as comprehensive as your own. Where our service provides transfer your personal data outside of the European Union we ensure that they have adequate safeguards in place to protect your personal data. We’ll use one of these safeguards:- Transfers to a non-EEA country with privacy laws that give the same protection as the EEA.
