The Go Down Shop

  • Open 24 hours during the camping season (Easter-end October). Staffed at set times and runs on an honesty system outside of these times
  • Selling our organic, pasture-fed, Knepp Wild Range meat (frozen), plus jams, chutneys, local biscuits and gingerbread, chocolate, bread, cheese, milk, butter, pasta and sauces, pizza dough and toppings, snacks, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, toiletries and gifts
  • We also sell sustainable firewood, charcoal, kindling and firelighters

Pitch Up

For our “Pitch your own” campers. A cosy, dry place to hunker down in the great British weather with a veranda overlooking the wildflower meadow. The perfect spot for a sundowner.

  • We provide individual fire pits for use at your tent pitch. Please bring all cooking and eating equipment with you
  • A freezer is available at reception for re-freezing your freeze blocks (only) for your cool box

Wood-Fired Pizza Ovens

There are two wood-fired pizza ovens available for both glamping and camping guests. We sell pizza dough, sauces, cheese and a range of toppings in the campsite shop. All tools and instructions are provided.

At the Go-Down

  • Two wet-room hot-water showers with underfloor heating
  • Two flushing loos
  • Drying room with warm copper pipes and underfloor heating for drying damp clothes, boots and towels.

On the Campsite

  • Two open-air hot-water baths with showers
  • Two flushing loos
  • Two indoor stalls with hot-water showers
  • One open-air hot-water shower
  • Log cabin with two flushing loos

We provide complementary organic shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.

The Bathenon

Our stylish outdoor bath house, featuring a pediment of antlers, looks like a beach shack modelled on the Parthenon. Two separate vintage baths with masses of hot water and the option of an overhead shower fitted with luxurious rain shower heads.

All in the open air, so you can bathe under the stars or shower in the rain.

We sell organic bubble bath in our campsite shop for the ultimate indulgent bath time experience.

Wild Swimming Pond

Our wild swimming pond is accessed via decking and a small flight of steps. There is a freshwater shower for after your swim. Please note the pond is not supervised and you are responsible for your own safety.

The Yoga Garden

The Yoga Garden is a dedicated space for the practice of yoga. Their handcrafted yurt set within the campsite wild flower meadow, the chorus of birdsong and their qualified, caring teachers and therapists provide a truly nurturing environment for your body, mind and soul.

The
Yoga Garden offers a full and varied timetable of yoga classes, workshops and
day retreats as well as a range of relaxing or remedial massage therapies and
Ayurvedic treatments.

Kindred Sauna

We are thrilled to be hosting Kindred Sauna at Knepp, a wood-fired Nordic style sauna experience for campers and glampers, located in a repurposed horse box between the Glamping Kitchen and Yoga Yurts, close to the bridge over the swimming pond.

Combining the deep relaxation of sauna and time in nature provides a tremendous feeling of wellbeing, health and relaxation. 

This is a hosted experience for up to 5 people at a time, for an hour or 75mins, including refreshments. The perfect way to wind down after a long walk or a safari.

Our 12+ Policy

Knepp Wildland Safaris, our gardens and campsite are all about the quiet and patient observation of nature.

Some of the species we are likely to encounter are shy or can be frightened by loud noises or sudden movements. Our campsite with open-air fire-pits, wood-burning stoves and an on-site pond is unsuitable for small children.

For this reason, our safaris, garden visits, holiday cottages and campsite are suitable only for children of 12 and over.
