The Christmas restaurant menu for Knepp’s Wilding Kitchen is live. We are open for lunch from Wednesday to Sunday and for dinner every Friday and Saturday until 21 December.
Our menu evokes the wild essence of Knepp with dishes like our dry-aged old English longhorn beef from the rewilding project, whole glazed organic duck, and a vegetarian tarte that celebrates the best of our Market Garden.
Our ingredients are sustainably gathered from our own estate or from like-minded organic producers. Celebrate Christmas at the heart of the UK’s pioneering rewilding project in our restored Sussex barn restaurant, decorated with locally-foraged festive foliage, which naturally conjures the spirit of the season.

Each dish on our Christmas restaurant menu celebrates the wild bounty of Knepp Estate. For example, start your meal with Charred Pumpkin Soup, a velvety delight made from sun-ripened squash harvested from our Market Garden, paired with a hint of warming spice.
For your main course, indulge in Slow-Cooked Venison Shoulder, rich and tender, sourced from our own wild-range herds. Accompanied by seasonal root vegetables and a decadent jus, it’s a dish that embodies the essence of Knepp in winter.
Finish on a sweet note with our Spiced Apple and Hazelnut Tart, made with handpicked apples and topped with a dollop of estate-fresh cream – a perfect balance of comforting flavours and festive cheer.
