SPRING safaris

Spring is an awe-inspiring season at Knepp. Come and celebrate rewilding with us in West Sussex.

The ultimate destination for nature lovers, Knepp is home to a pioneering 3,500-acre rewilding project. Here, old English longhorn cattle, Exmoor ponies and Tamworth pigs, red and fallow deer roam free through the wild landscape.

As cuckoos and turtle doves arrive from Africa, Knepp reverberates with surround-sound birdsong. White storks begin bill-clattering on their nests, and the nightingale’s liquid song pours through the night sky once more.  In the rewilded scrubland and wood pasture, foals, piglets, fawns and calves take their first steps.

Our safaris offer a thrilling range of experiences, from the rewilded Walled Garden to wild horses, from butterflies to beavers. This is a chance to see and hear some of the UK’s rarest species, and to learn about the miracles of nature recovery first-hand with our passionate and knowledgeable guides.

Each ticket sold helps us to expand our rewilding efforts and create even more habitats for wildlife.

Our 12+ Policy

Knepp Wildland Safaris and campsite are all about the quiet and patient observation of nature.

Some of the species we are likely to encounter are shy or can be frightened by loud noises or sudden movements. Our campsite with open-air fire-pits, wood-burning stoves and an on-site pond is unsuitable for small children.

For this reason, our safaris, holiday cottages and campsite are suitable only for children of 12 and over.
