Harriet Rix’s explorations as a travelling tree scientist are as exciting as the adventures of Indiana Jones, uncovering the extraordinary secrets of prehistoric forests to the trees around us today. Trees are not the victims we often portray them to be. They are agents of their own – and our – destiny.

Hear Harriet talk about her astonishing new book The Genius of Trees over a glass of bubbly, introduced by Isabella Tree, with plenty of time for audience Q&A, and a delicious dinner afterwards at the Wilding Kitchen.

Our 12+ Policy

Knepp Wildland Safaris, our gardens and campsite are all about the quiet and patient observation of nature.

Some of the species we are likely to encounter are shy or can be frightened by loud noises or sudden movements. Our campsite with open-air fire-pits, wood-burning stoves and an on-site pond is unsuitable for small children.

For this reason, our safaris, garden visits, holiday cottages and campsite are suitable only for children of 12 and over.
