Art Exhibition: Life on the Verge
Nessie Ramm
24 October – 29 November
Monday to Sunday 10am-4pm in the Knepp Wilding Shop
If you’re looking for our native wildflowers you might struggle to find them in the wide fields
of the open countryside, where intensive methods can leave little habitat. Instead turn your
attention to the verges alongside Britain’s road network. That’s where you’ll find our wild
plants, along with the insects, birds and animals that depend on them. They have found
refuge on roundabouts, slip roads and in litter-strewn lay-bys.
This exhibition celebrates finding life on the edge of the busy roads of Kent and Sussex,
bringing together landscape paintings, botanical road-signs and prints. Nessie will also be
showing her growing collection of studies of squashed cans she has found along the way.
Visiting
Life on the Verge is free to visit during Knepp Wilding Shop opening hours.
