Of Wolves & Birds – Andris Fågelviskare
Of Wolves & Birds
Talk and supper with Andris Fågelviskare
6pm Thursday 30 April 2026
Andris Fågelviskare is an extraordinary 34-year-old naturalist from Sweden. Known as the Bird Whisperer, Charlie and Issy met him in Romania in 2023 where he was working on wildlife monitoring for Conservation Carpathia, a huge rewilding project of which Charlie is chair.
Since early childhood Andris has had a deep fascination for wildlife, learning the ways and habits of the forest inhabitants where he grew up.
For the past ten years he has also learned to imitate the calls of birds, with around 150 species in his repertoire. Andris’ mission, as he puts it, is ‘to bring the voices of the wild into our hearts’.
Join him in conversation with Isabella Tree to learn about his experiences of living close to wild wolves – creatures that couldn’t be further from the fairytales – and hear some of his remarkable bird calls.
The evening begins with a welcome glass of bubbly and, after Andris’ talk, with plenty of time for audience Q&A, a delicious three-course dinner in our MICHELIN Guide listed Wilding Kitchen.
