Dave Goulson is a tour de force. Professor of Biology at the University of Sussex and specialist in the ecology of insects, he has for decades spearheaded the fight against pesticides that are decimating our insect populations. Inevitably, his work has taken him into the sphere of farming – the biggest culprit in what has become known as ‘insectageddon’. His latest book tackles the problems of industrial food production head on, but in a way that is empathetic, non-judgemental, pragmatic and hopeful. Eat the Planet Well is a guide to sustainable, ethical, healthy eating.
