Carbon – the book of life
Author talk and supper with Paul Hawken
6pm Thursday 11 September 2025
Paul Hawken is a prize-winning author, renowned public speaker and one of the most influential voices on the climate crisis. His inspirational, best-selling books Regeneration and Drawdown advocate powerful ways to avert global warming. In Carbon – the book of life, he tells the beautiful story of carbon’s role in our world – as our lifeblood, our synthesis with all living things, our planet’s protector. He writes with the grace and fluency of a deep, compassionate thinker.
We’re utterly delighted to welcome Paul over from the States to talk to us at the Wilding Kitchen, and even more honoured that Knepp is featured as an influence on his thinking in his latest book.
Paul Hawken will be in conversation with Isabella Tree & Charlie Burrell for around 45 mins, followed by 15 mins audience Q&A and book signing. Ticket includes a glass of bubbly and a delicious three-course supper in the Wilding Kitchen.
