Kate Raworth is a visionary economist whose 2017 book Doughnut Economics shook the world and shaped a new idea of economic ‘progress’. It focuses on the goal of meeting the needs of all people within the means of the living planet, drawing on ecological, feminist, complexity and institutional economic thought to do so.

We’re delighted to have Kate at Knepp to explain the core concepts of Doughnut Economics and share examples of how, over the past decade, they have been turned into tools for policymaking and used by over 90 cities and local governments worldwide – including many in the UK.

Highlighting both pioneering innovations in applying these concepts and the complex challenges arising from them, she will ask what wider transformations are needed to bring about truly regenerative and distributive economies for the future.
