Ian Mepham


Ian has spent many years working in all aspects of the food industry, first as a chef, and then in wholesale, production, packing, distribution and selling. He’s worked for Southover Foods and The Cheese Man in Brighton, and, most recently, as wholesale manager at the Goodwood Estate, helping to develop their organic range.

We are thrilled to have Ian heading up the development of Knepp Wild Range meat. His passion for delicious, healthy, sustainable food is unparalleled and he brings with him a wealth of experience and creativity.

“We should be embracing nose-to-tail eating. Every animal offers a unique opportunity to try foods lost to us over the years. The natural herbs, grasses and vegetation our animals have browsed and grazed gives them a flavour and goodness that is totally lacking in industrially farmed animals.”

Our 12+ Policy

Knepp Wildland Safaris and campsite are all about the quiet and patient observation of nature.

Some of the species we are likely to encounter are shy or can be frightened by loud noises or sudden movements. Our campsite with open-air fire-pits, wood-burning stoves and an on-site pond is unsuitable for small children.

For this reason, our safaris, holiday cottages and campsite are suitable only for children of 12 and over.
