Autumn Safari

Pre-Visit Information

Time: Start times vary between 2.15pm and 4.00pm.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes (and no more than 30 minutes) before the tour is due to begin.

What’s provided: Knepp Wild Range charcuterie and a tot of homemade sloe gin – please let us know of any allergies, or if you’re vegetarian/vegan, in advance so we can cater for you.

What to bring: Camera (note – flash is not allowed as it startles the animals, and it will be too dark to photograph in the woods). Torch (essential). No dogs please.

What to wear: Please be prepared for the British autumn weather! The ground is uneven so wear sturdy waterproof hiking boots and, in wet weather or following wet days, wellies are a must as our paths can be submerged by water in places. We recommend a warm fleece, waterproof jacket and trousers, hat, gloves etc. Please do not wear bright or white clothing.

Please note: Guests should not smoke or vape on safaris.

Where to meet: The Cow Barn, Knepp Safaris, New Barn Farm, Swallows Lane, Dial Post, West Sussex, RH13 8NN. Down a long track, which is accessed via Swallows Lane, just next to the village of Dial Post.

Upon arrival to the Cow Barn, please enter your vehicle registration to validate your free parking.

Travelling from the Knepp Wilding Kitchen

The Wilding Kitchen Restaurant and Shop are in a different location from where our rewilding safaris take place.

Please allow 5 minutes to drive and 15 minutes to walk to New Barn Farm.

If you are eating lunch at the Wilding Kitchen, please give yourself at least 1.5 hours to sit and enjoy your food.
