all-terrain vehicle Safari Pre-visit information
Time: 9.30am-12.30pm or 2-5pm
What’s provided: Tea, coffee, elderflower cordial and organic chocolate brownies. Please let us know of any allergies and if you’re vegetarian/vegan in advance and we’ll do our best to cater for you.
What to bring: Binoculars, camera, sun cream, sun hat, water. No dogs please.
What to wear: Whilst our safari vehicles have rooves, the sides can be opened to the elements and some walking from the vehicle is possible during the safari so please come dressed for the British weather! We will be stopping at points of interest to go for a walk through the Wildland area. The ground is uneven so wear sturdy walking boots or wellies if it’s been at all wet. You may want to wear long trousers to protect your legs from nettles, thistles and brambles. You may choose to remain in the vehicle if you wish.
Where to meet: The Cow Barn, Knepp Safaris, New Barn Farm, Swallows Lane, Dial Post, West Sussex, RH13 8NN. Down a long track, which is accessed via Swallows Lane, just next to the village of Dial Post.
Please allow plenty of time to travel to Knepp as our safaris leave promptly at the designated start time. For arrivals of more than 15 minutes late, we regret to inform you that it will not be possible for us to help you join the safari.
