Home / Knepp’s 2024 in numbers
Against the context of declining wildlife populations around the globe, Knepp Wildland continues to glint with hope. Every year, as our scrubland evolves, our soil replenishes and our wildlife relax further into their natural, unhurried existences, more species find themselves drawn to our mosaic of habitats. And more people are finding inspiration in the story of Knepp too.
Rewilding is the tale of hope for our times. And the really big picture is only just beginning to emerge as we start to unravel how rewilded landscapes and soils can lock away carbon for the benefit of the planet.
Here’s our year in numbers:
Knepp Wildland Safaris, our gardens and campsite are all about the quiet and patient observation of nature.
Some of the species we are likely to encounter are shy or can be frightened by loud noises or sudden movements. Our campsite with open-air fire-pits, wood-burning stoves and an on-site pond is unsuitable for small children.
For this reason, our safaris, garden visits, holiday cottages and campsite are suitable only for children of 12 and over.
