An Author Talk with Adam Nicolson
6pm Thursday 05 June 2025
We are absolutely thrilled to be hosting our friend Adam Nicolson to hear about his new book, hot off the press. Bird School dives into the enchanting world of the birds we share our lives with but barely notice. It’s a beautiful synthesis of personal observations, the latest breathtaking science and our deep cultural connections with birds. Every page is a thrill, whether you’re new to birding or an experienced twitcher.
Adam is the author of numerous books on history, great literature and the environment, and winner of the Somerset Maugham Award, Wainwright Prize and Pleasure of Reading Prize. He will be in conversation with Isabella Tree, with time afterwards for Q&A.
Knepp Wildland Safaris, our gardens and campsite are all about the quiet and patient observation of nature.
Some of the species we are likely to encounter are shy or can be frightened by loud noises or sudden movements. Our campsite with open-air fire-pits, wood-burning stoves and an on-site pond is unsuitable for small children.
For this reason, our safaris, garden visits, holiday cottages and campsite are suitable only for children of 12 and over.
