Rob Eadie

NATURALIST & SAFARI GUIDE

Rob is a naturalist and artist who has recorded the wildlife of West Sussex from an early age. Rob is the volunteer reserve manager at the SWT’s downland nature reserve, Levin Down, near Chichester, where he has spent many hours observing the flora and fauna and has enjoyed giving numerous guided walks around the reserve. Rob’s experience and expertise covers butterflies and other insects, as well as birds, reptiles, and wildflowers.

‘I am passionate about biodiversity and the wild habitats of West Sussex, especially the marginal and often forgotten corners where it is still possible to be surprised and delighted by a rare butterfly, orchid or bird. In an increasingly fragmented landscape, it is tremendously exciting to immerse oneself in the wild land at Knepp, and to experience a functioning and dynamic ecosystem with all of its rich diversity. I am delighted to be a part of the guiding team.’

Our 12+ Policy

Knepp Wildland Safaris, our gardens and campsite are all about the quiet and patient observation of nature.

Some of the species we are likely to encounter are shy or can be frightened by loud noises or sudden movements. Our campsite with open-air fire-pits, wood-burning stoves and an on-site pond is unsuitable for small children.

For this reason, our safaris, garden visits, holiday cottages and campsite are suitable only for children of 12 and over.
