Art exhibiton: Framing Nature

Henny Tate & Emma Lewis

November 4th – December 16th

Monday to Friday 9am-5pm in the Knepp Wilding Shop

Artists and sisters Henny Tate and Emma Lewis grew up surrounded by nature, thanks to their parents, who instinctively rewilded the 50 acres around their childhood home. Nature was their constant companion, allowed free rein right up to the sitting room window—and sometimes even into the house!

Knepp feels like home to them, an extension of this rewilding spirit.

This show is a celebration of that upbringing and an invitation for others to witness up close the beauty that biodiversity brings. It asks viewers to slow down and look closer, with detailed works of native tree leaves, plants, and a few intimate portraits of seedheads that Henny discovered while volunteering in the walled garden at Knepp last summer.

Emma and Henny will be at Knepp on Friday, December 6th, between 10 am and 2 pm, ready to meet and chat with anyone interested in nature, their work, and the magic of Knepp.

Henny will be generously donating 50% of the proceeds of selected artworks to the Knepp Wildland Foundation.

Come and experience how their art and rewilding intersect to inspire a deeper connection with the wild, and take the opportunity to do some nature-inspired Christmas shopping in the shop.

Our 12+ Policy

Knepp Wildland Safaris, our gardens and campsite are all about the quiet and patient observation of nature.

Some of the species we are likely to encounter are shy or can be frightened by loud noises or sudden movements. Our campsite with open-air fire-pits, wood-burning stoves and an on-site pond is unsuitable for small children.

For this reason, our safaris, garden visits, holiday cottages and campsite are suitable only for children of 12 and over.
