Sarah Talbot

Visitor Manager

Sarah is a visitor experience specialist, skilled in all aspects of planning and delivering the visitor journey.  She joined the Knepp team in September 2023 as Visitor Manager, looking after our camping, glamping and safari guests.  Sarah is passionate about connecting people with special places, and previously spent 15 years with the National Trust.

She has a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from Manchester Metropolitan University where she grew up, and spent her early career working as a project and programme manager in the environmental consultancy sector.

During her ten years in Cornwall she developed a love of wild swimming and pilot gig racing, taking part in 5 World Championships on the Isles of Scilly.  A Gig is a traditional wooden boat which ‘raced’ out to bring big ships safely into harbour, with the first Pilot on board receiving a handsome payment.

Her competitive streak can also be found at pub quizzes, where her specialist subject is 1980s pop music!

‘I’ve worked and lived in some very special places, from Dunham Massey in Cheshire, to the UNESCO Cornish Mining World Heritage Site on the tip of Lands End.  Coming to live and work at Knepp is the next piece in the jigsaw, and I am very lucky to be able to connect people with the natural environment in a way that allows them to experience the very best of the best.’

Our 12+ Policy

Knepp Wildland Safaris and campsite are all about the quiet and patient observation of nature.

Some of the species we are likely to encounter are shy or can be frightened by loud noises or sudden movements. Our campsite with open-air fire-pits, wood-burning stoves and an on-site pond is unsuitable for small children.

For this reason, our safaris, holiday cottages and campsite are suitable only for children of 12 and over.
