REGENERATIVE FARM

After two years working as one of our campsite wardens, Megan has transitioned to working on the wider Knepp Estate and Regenerative Farm.

She studied towards a BA (Hons) in dance at Edinburgh’s Telford College, before taking a job with a traditional circus company in Spain. She then spent five months at circus school, followed by a five-year career as a professional aerialist with various shows in the UK, Malta and Spain.

Megan has always been fascinated by the natural world and concerned about her impact on it. So, after taking a step back from performing in 2019, she decided to take advantage of an opportunity to learn more about our rewilding project.

‘It’s so nice to see wildlife thriving on the estate and each season brings something new and exciting. Personal highlights for me include listening to nightingale song, while doing the night-time camp checks in the spring, and hunting for purple emperors in the summer.’

Our 12+ Policy

Knepp Wildland Safaris and campsite are all about the quiet and patient observation of nature.

Some of the species we are likely to encounter are shy or can be frightened by loud noises or sudden movements. Our campsite with open-air fire-pits, wood-burning stoves and an on-site pond is unsuitable for small children.

For this reason, our safaris, holiday cottages and campsite are suitable only for children of 12 and over.
